Project Background

Turkmenistan Petroleum has used casing pipe in a 2022 comprehensive service project for more than 1,400 wells in the Kuturzhebe and Barsa oil fields in cooperation with Shengli Petroleum Engineering Company's Downhole Operations Company. The project, which involves overhauling, sidetracking and sand control operations, is designed to solve the problems of severe casing loss and formation energy depletion in the old fields.

Client Challenge

Complexity of old oilfields: The downhole conditions of some old wells were unclear, and new well drilling faced risks such as sand production, requiring casing with certain strength and integrity.

Timeliness of delivery: To coordinate with the drilling team's operational plan, casing needed to be delivered in batches to different well sites on time, demanding high logistics coordination capabilities.

Pressure for cost control: Against the backdrop of fluctuating international oil prices, the client was very sensitive to procurement costs, expecting more competitive prices while ensuring quality.

Our Solution and Results

1. Supply chain optimization for cost reduction: Through long-term cooperation with upstream steel mills and order consolidation, we successfully provided the client with attractive pricing schemes, effectively reducing their procurement costs.

2.Rapid response and remote technical support: Although not permanently on-site, we provide regular technical support online meeting to ensure rapid response and resolution of technical issues raised by the client.

Project Outcomes

The oilfield capacity enhancement project progressed smoothly according to plan, and the supplied casing was successfully run and cemented, meeting the needs of drilling and subsequent production. The client expressed satisfaction with our product's cost-performance ratio, the timeliness of supply, and the effectiveness of remote support. This project helped us accumulate valuable achievements in the Central Asian onshore oil and gas market, and it responds to the call of the national Belt and Road policy.
