LSAW is a large-diameter steel pipe made from hot rolled steel plate or coil, pre-bent and roll-formed (e.g., UOE method or JCOE method) into an open barrel, and then fused with a straight weld by internal and external double-sided submerged arc welding (SAW). The core process is the use of flux layer under the burning arc melting wire and base material to achieve high-quality welding, and ultimately by the expansion process such as molding, dedicated to oil, natural gas and other fluids, high-pressure long-distance transmission pipeline.

    Detailed Description of LSAW Pipe

    LSAW steel pipe is a kind of large diameter steel pipe, which is mainly used for long-distance transportation of oil, natural gas and other fluids. Its manufacturing process begins with hot rolled steel plate, which is molded into a cylinder by UOE (sequentially bent into U-shape, O-shape and then enlarged) or JCOE (rolled edges and then sequentially bent into J-shape, C-shape, O-shape and then enlarged), and then finally welded inside and outside the weld seam by Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) technology, where the arc is covered by a layer of flux during the welding process.
