Threaded flanges, as a type of non-welded flange, are manufactured by machining the inner bore into pipe threads for mating with threaded pipes to achieve connection. When compared with slip-on flanges or butt-weld flanges, threaded flanges exhibit distinct advantages in terms of convenient installation and maintenance, making them suitable for use in pipeline systems where on-site welding is prohibited. For alloy steel flanges that possess adequate strength but suffer from poor weldability or unsatisfactory welding performance, threaded flanges represent a viable alternative. Nevertheless, it is advisable to refrain from using threaded flanges under conditions of drastic pipeline temperature fluctuations or when the temperature exceeds 260°C or drops below -45°C, so as to prevent the occurrence of leakage.

    Main Applications

1Chemical/Petrochemical Industry: Corrosive, temporary, or low-pressure pipelines.

Food/Pharmaceutical Industry: Hygienic clean pipelines for easy cleaning and maintenance.

Low-Pressure Gas Systems: Household gas pipelines and small equipment connections (to avoid welding risks)

Water Supply and Drainage: Civil building pipelines (e.g., galvanized pipes) and low-pressure pipelines in wastewater treatment.

Marine/Ocean Engineering: Internal pipelines requiring frequent maintenance or temporary pipelines.

Power Industry Auxiliary Systems: Non-high-temperature and non-high-pressure pipelines for compressed air or industrial water.

Special Environments: Fire-prohibited zones, low/non-high temperatures (-45°C~260°C), and renovation of old pipelines.

    Advantages

    1. Convenient for installation and maintenance without welding.

    2. Suitable for fire-prohibited scenarios (e.g., flammable and explosive areas).

    3. Avoids damage to anti-corrosion coatings or clean pipelines caused by welding.

    4. Ideal for temporary or detachable pipeline connections, reducing maintenance costs.

    5. Strong applicability to materials with poor weldability (e.g., some alloy steels).
