Detailed Description of Fire Sprinkler Steel Pipe

Fire sprinkler steel pipes are intended for automatic fire sprinkler systems. The primary purpose of these pipes is to automatically activate in the initial stages of a fire, discharging water uniformly across the given protected location to either contain or extinguish the fire.

Our fire sprinkler pipes are mainly manufactured of quality carbon steel (Q235B) as the base metal, and manufactured by the Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) process to ensure production uniformity in the weld and high pressure resistance.

Corrosion protection of steel pipes is crucial in fire suppression systems because they usually have stagnant lines filled with water.

We offer two main types of external surface treatment:

① Red Epoxy Coating — Offers good corrosion resistance and easy identification within complex systems.
② Hot-Dip Galvanizing — Creates a layer of zinc-iron alloy on both the outside and inside of the pipe to combat corrosion, offering robust and long-term protection. This is a good option for dry pipe and pre-action systems, especially in corrosive environments.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q What standards do your fire sprinkler steel pipes comply with?
Our fire sprinkler steel pipes comply with multiple international standards including ASTM A795, ASTM A53, ASTM A135, UL 852, FM 1630, and GB/T 3091, ensuring they meet the requirements for fire protection systems globally.
Q What is the difference between red epoxy coating and hot-dip galvanizing?
Red epoxy coating provides good corrosion resistance and makes pipes easy to identify within complex fire systems. Hot-dip galvanizing applies a zinc-iron alloy layer to both the interior and exterior surfaces, offering superior long-term corrosion protection — particularly suitable for dry pipe and pre-action systems in corrosive environments.
Q What size range is available for fire sprinkler steel pipes?
Our fire sprinkler steel pipes are available in a size range from DN15 to DN300, which corresponds to 1/2 inch to 12 inch (NPS). Custom sizes can also be arranged based on project requirements.
Q What connection types are supported for fire sprinkler pipes?
Our pipes support three main connection types: Grooved (for quick mechanical coupling), Threaded (for traditional screw connections), and Welded (for permanent high-strength joints). The appropriate connection type depends on your system design and installation requirements.
Q Are custom pipe lengths available?
Yes. Standard lengths are 5.8m, 6m, 11.8m, and 12m. However, we also offer customizable lengths to suit specific project needs. Please contact us with your specifications for a tailored solution.
Q What certifications do your fire sprinkler steel pipes hold?
Our fire sprinkler steel pipes are UL Listed, FM Approved, and CE Certified, among other qualifications. These certifications confirm that the pipes have passed rigorous testing and meet the safety and performance requirements for use in fire protection systems.
