Detailed Description of Fire Sprinkler Steel Pipe
Fire sprinkler steel pipes are intended for automatic fire sprinkler systems. The primary purpose of these pipes is to automatically activate in the initial stages of a fire, discharging water uniformly across the given protected location to either contain or extinguish the fire. Our fire sprinkler pipes are mainly manufactured of quality carbon steel (Q235B) as the base metal, and manufactured by the (electric resistance welded) ERW process to production uniformity in the weld and high pressure resistance.
Corrosion protection of steel pipes is crucial in fire suppression systems because they usually have stagnant lines filled with water. We offer two main types of external surface treatment: red epoxy coating and hot dipped galvanizing. Firstly, the red epoxy coating offers good corrosion resistance and easy identification within complex systems. Secondly, the hot dipped galvanizing creates a layer of zinc-iron alloy on both the outside and inside of the pipe to combat corrosion, offering robust and long term protection against corrosion and is a good option for dry pipe and pre-action systems, (especially in corrosive environments).

Main Application Areas
Steel pipe is the key piping material for many types of automatic fire sprinkler systems used worldwide like:
● Wet Pipe System: The most common type of automatic fire sprinkler system. In wet pipe systems, the pipes are always filled with pressurized water. These systems can be used where ambient temperatures remain above 4°C. Applications in this area include office buildings (+4°C), dry warehouse storage, hotels malls, etc.
● Dry Pipe System: Dry pipe systems have pipes filled with compressed air or nitrogen and water enters the pipes after activation of the sprinkler head. Dry pipe systems can be used in areas like parking garages, unconditioned spaces, or cool storage areas at or below freezing.
● Pre-action system: A pre-action system is a combination of fire detection and sprinkler systems as it requires activation of the missing piece, with both an appropriate detector and a qualified sprinkler head to release water into the pipes. The pre-action systems are intended for high value and sensitive areas that do not have water damage opportunities, like data centers, library's and archives.
● Deluge system: In a deluge system all of the sprinkler heads are open. An independent fire detection system activates a valve that allows a large volume of water to be released from all of the sprinkler heads at the same time- load and unload or sprinkler to wall location. They are used in areas with the potential for very rapid spread of fire, like chemical plants and aircraft hangars.
● Water curtain system: Used to accomplish either cooling protection for people or things from the fires radiant heat or to create fire-resistant barriers.
Advantages of Sprinkler Steel Pipe
High Reliability: Rigorously manufactured to international fire protection standards and passed water pressure testing to guarantee adequate water supply (no leaks and high pressure-bearing capability).
Excellent corrosion resistance: professional coated or galvanization treatment considerably improves pipe service life performance in wet environment.
Fast and easy installation: The trench connection has a significantly decreased construction schedule and doesn’t require on-site welding, which minimizes installation costs and reduces fire risks.
Strong system compatibility: Compatible with most standard sprinkler heads, valves and fittings.
Clearly Recognizable: The unique red coating makes it easily recognizable as fire protection piping in building piping systems.
